My afterschool art class had fun making these recycled painted can faces inspired by the artist Didier Triglia. You can see my power point link below that we used and the sites below had several great ideas! This was an end of the year project and I wish we would have had more time to elaborate on our pieces.
Thank you to THE SMART TEACHER blog that provided this project idea: http://www.thesmartteacher.com/exchange/resource/328/Didier-Triglia-Head-Cans
Michelle did some cool pieces with her students at http://tinyartroom.wordpress.com/tag/didier-triglia/, and I love the pieces Steph did with hers at http://acorntooakart.com/2013/04/07/recycled-aluminum-cans-in-the-style-of-didier-triglia/. It was the end of school for us, but I wish we would have had more time to create some extensions to go with ours.
We used my power point here to look at some of his pieces:http://www.authorstream.com/Presentation/huskeyj72501-1837376-didier-triglia-recycled-art/
I remember seeing this idea earlier in the year and going to the artist's website to see the work I LOVE them. Your kids did such great interpretations. There is so much room for creativity here!!
ReplyDeleteThese turned out great! I love the original artist's work too! :)
